Timothy A. Peppers, MD
Timothy A. Peppers, M.D. is a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon who limits his practice exclusively to spine surgery and spinal disorders. After nearly 14 years with Core Orthopaedic Medical Center (CORE), Dr. Peppers left in the Fall of 2013 to create Seaside Spine Medical Associates (SSMA) in association with his partner, Jamieson S. Glenn, M.D.
With 18 years in academic and private practice as an Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon, Dr. Peppers has extensive experience with all areas of spine surgery including cervical, thoracic and lumbar disc herniations and stenosis; disc replacement surgery; adult deformity surgery; failed spine surgery; trauma; and minimally invasive spine surgery. He has also been involved with several FDA clinical trails for cervical and lumbar disc replacement surgery and continues to remain active with on-going research projects.
Dr. Peppers received his Medical Degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1992 where he graduated Alpha Omega Alpha. He then remained at Loma Linda University Medical Center to complete his surgical internship and a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery. In 1998, Dr. Peppers completed a fellowship in Spinal Reconstructive Surgery at the Florida Neck and Back Institute. After completing his fellowship, he returned to Loma Linda University to join the faculty in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery until relocating to San Diego in 2000.
He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and maintains active memberships in the North American Spine Society, California Medical Association, the California Orthopaedic Association, and the San Diego County Medical Society.
In his free time, Dr. Peppers is an avid surfer and enjoys spending time with his family camping, fishing, and snow skiing.
